Moments Of Desire
Jenny Pausacker, Susan Hawthorne (eds.)

A feminist anthology that ranges widely across women’s writing on sex. In fiction, poetry and experimental forms, feminist writers unveil a world of female sexual experience. The editors have chosen pieces that portray women’s sexual experiences from youth to old age. The writers explore celibacy, lesbianism, heterosexuality and bisexuality but consistently return to the simple wonders of sensual awareness.

Moments of Desire ... offers variety, surprise, a range of moods and tones and the inclusion of experiences not usually seen as her domain. If there is potential for further debate on the tricky question of feminist use of language in writing about sex, this book could provide a starting point. Anyway, I wish I could mention every single piece in this stimulating and enjoyable collection. There isn’t one dud in the lot.

Inez Baranay, Australian Book Review

Unlike previous erotic anthologies this one really delivers the goods.

Jennifer Redford, City Life

'The editors were spot on to decide to entitle their book Desire – or moments thereof.'

Dinny O’Hearn, Australian Book Review
