Cow in the media

The Weekend Post (Cairns) interviewed Susan Hawthorne about her recently released poetry collection Cow. Susan had this to say about using the cow as her inspiration: "The cow is a really important part of Indian culture. It has a rich mythology and is important in the economy." She went on to talk about the writing process and being influenced by Tamil poetry's use of imagery and emotion: "I want to feel something. It [Cow] has to be more than an intellectual offering."
